Speed Rush, the ambitious super bike racing game from the makers of Crazy Monster Truck – Escape and MathsMania has been kicked off to a good start on the crowd funding Platform KickStarter. GameAnax, the mastermind behind the project launched SpeedRush on Kickstarter
on the 19th of September 2013 for a pledge value of $60,000. With 41 days to go the project has already received 21% backing of the pledged amount.
GameAnax has already proven their prowess in the gaming industry every since the success of Crazy Monster Truck – Escape. The game witnessed an overwhelming response of over 5 million downloads across various gaming platforms within a short period of time. Started in the 2010, the studio has been rolling out power packed games that set the adrenaline rushing. Their new venture Speed Rush is an equally promising game; superbike lover's are sure to find it extremely addictive and highly engaging.
Speed Rush was designed to entertain and engage those who have a flair for racing; delivering a gameplay that's as close to the real thing as possible. It has cleverly leveraged all the hardware features to a smartphone or gaming console to simulate the race with that of an actual racing experience. "We have integrated every aspect of biking on the circuit to give players the real thrill of zooming down the tracks without any inhibitions,"
said Jigar Panchal, Head Mobile Games, GameAnax. "To add to the real-like experience of racing, we have simulated the tracks to resemble 12 famous racing circuits around the world,"
The game revolves around giving players a fun racing experience and some quality time on their 'customized' superbikes. That's right! Players can customize their bikes by adjusting its Handling, Breaking, Tires and Acceleration for a very personalized feel. To make the biking experience truly exclusive, the game has 12 phenomenally realistic tracks that simulate popular superbike racing circuits across the globe. To add to it, GameAnax has also included mirror tracks leaving players spoilt for choice. Besides amazing simulations and excellent sound effects, to make the gaming experience surreal it also features several exciting elements. Other than choosing the track, players can also set the track conditions, wherein the biker would experience a gameplay that features different weather conditions.
The developers certainly have an eye for details; they have also accounted for different cc bikes by building ones that include 125-1000cc engines. Contrary to regular racing games, Speed Rush comes with a twist – it offers 4 entirely different racing modes. The Normal Race
, where 8 -10 players compete with each other. The top 3 winners are awarded reward points and prize money. This mode is like any other racing game - straight and clear.Time Trial
is a racing mode that tests the biker's skill against the clock. The game would set the best time for a track, and the player is given 3 laps to race against time. The Check Point
race works on a slightly different note. The game tallies the best average time taken by the player between 2 checkpoints in the game. A game would have around 4-6 checkpoints along the track. The Knock Out
race is an enjoyable racing mode. It features 4-5 players, where for every lap; the last biker would be knocked out. This mode requires the player to stay ahead of at least one opponent for every lap.
Black Racers is a gaming event where only the pro bikers are invited to join. This requires the player to work his/ her way up here. The player is expected to gain a certain experience and skill before being given an exclusive ticket to participate in this event.
The Free Run is where the player gets to pick a bike and zoom through the tracks without the pressure of an on-going game. It helps racers learn the track and get to know their machine.
Speed Rush is a different kind of racing game that aims at striking a balance between hard-core racing and giving superbike enthusiasts an opportunity to experience the thrill of owning and riding one. Setting it apart from other games are the different racing modes, where players can test their skills through different challenging situations. From the regular races to the trying ones – racing against time, outdoing other players and an exciting knockout race, it's the only game that focuses on a riding experience rather than just winning. It also allows players to hone their skills and improve upon their game. The storyboard has been made to entice and enthrall racing-gamers to ecstasy.
Apart from the KickStarter campaign SpeedRush has also enrolled for the #FreeTheGames Fund, created by OUYA. The fund is an initiative to encourage developers to build creative and engaging games on the OUYA platform. Incidentally, OUYA itself was once a project that was launched on Kickstarter. Today, it's one of the most promising gaming micro-consoles. Powered by its own version of Android Operating System, it is an open source framework that allows developers to modify and work upon. Adding to the exclusivity of the platform SpeedRush would be available only on the OUYA console for the first six months before it is launched on other platforms.
With more than 100 backers, the game has already received a 21% backing, but with 41 days to go the GameAnax
hopes to nail their target soon.
launches its kickstarter project today on August the 27th to fund its new video-game title, Kingdom Of Knights. Kickstarter is an open and public project funding platform through the internet on which users can submit support in the form of funds to projects for any reward or additional benefits the project team is willing to offer. In return, the development team gains the finances they need to complete the project.
Animus Interactive stems from the Latin word animus, which when translated turns into soul, spirit, mind; (plural) high spirits, pride, courage. Its core focus has been a multitude of web technologies and services catering to those technologies. Animus are located in New York and they are now taking the experience they have working with these technologies to create their first major title, Kingdoms Of Knights. This is to be the companies flagship title and entry to the world of video-game creation as an Indie development team.
Kingdom Of Knights is a massively multi-player real-time strategy game that will be launching as a free to play title. The founder of Animus Interactive, Frank Cefalu, had this to say on the launch of the project:
"We are a small indie shop based out of New York city and we don’t have the funding or resources to compete with the big publishing companies. To really bring the quality of the game that we want to the user we need the help of our fans, our peers and from gamers like ourselves that would love to see a game that is unlike any other out there right now. This is the turning point of history for Avalon. Now you the user have complete control over what happens. Help us do it together."
Animus Interactive is searching for additional financial support to bring the game to a complete and playable state through the aid of so-called backers from kickstarter. Those who are interested in becoming a potential backer can find Animus Interactive kickstarter project at the kickstarter webpage.

The aptly named product, juiceBee
, is an innovative 2-in-1 battery backup pack and wall charger that can solve a myriad problems for frustrated owners of smartphones and other rechargeable electronic devices.
Their Kickstarter campaign has received an enthusiastic amount of support from consumers nationwide.
Raising over $25,000 in pledge money, juiceBee is more than halfway towards their startup goal.
The inspiration behind the product came from the need to keep a smartphone or game console charged and backed up without having to carry multiple cords and chargers.
Thus, the idea of juiceBee was created. Consisting of a battery backup and wall charger dock together via a built-in USB port, juicBee can be used separately for one electronic device, or together, allowing consumers to power up their mobile phone and battery backup pack simultaneously, a plus for those who tend to forget to recharge their backup pack. This new solution allows users to utilize either an electric wall outlet, computer or any other device with a USB port.
A fully charged juiceBee stores enough power to load an iPhone 5 from dead to fully charged with lots of power to spare (Whereas a typical backup carries 2200 mAh, juiceBee carries 3000 mAh.)
Additionally, it is lightweight, fits in the palm of your hand and can be used anywhere in the world, even while traveling by car or plane. As a final touch, the design team gave it a built-in LED light for those occasions when lighting is less than adequate.
JuiceBee’s dual 2-in-1 power solution system still needs starter funding, but with so many features and an enthusiastic development team behind it, Kickstarters from across the country are hurrying to get in line to back it up themselves.
SunVolt, a just-released project on the popular crowd-funding site Kickstarter, promises to make solar energy portable, powerful, flexible and affordable. Created by Don Cayelli, one of the founding partners of gadget accessory maker Gomadic Corp, SunVolt is a notebook sized solar panel power system packaged in a unique, custom designed carrying case.
With SunVolt and a clear day, users can take the system anywhere, set it up easily, point the solar panel towards the sun and plug in their device(s) to charge. Equipped with a powerful solar panel (available in both 10 and 15 watt sizes) and super-efficient power regulation technology, SunVolt puts off an impressive amount of energy, comparable to what most devices receive when they are plugged in to the wall.
“What’s unique about SunVolt is that, unlike most solar chargers, it charges directly from the sun without using a battery in-between”, explains Don Cayelli. “The combination of power and simplicity really makes this a must-have green alternative”.
